Silly Cooper
So yesterday I went to let Coop in the back door but he couldn't get in the door...I thought maybe his collar was caught on something, and then I saw this site. Cooper likes to wrestle sticks from the stick pile. Well, sometimes they get stuck in his collar.... so like any good mother, I ran to get my camera before I got the stick out of his collar!
Enjoy!! :)

Enjoy!! :)

Netvibes
So, my brother told me about a website that you can check on several blogsites all at once. It's www.netvibes.com. I have it set up so I can check my brother's blogs and other blogs all at one website to see if they've added updates. Saves some time surfing the internet.

I LOVE 4-day weekends!
Well, I have a four day weekend! WOOHOO!! We had parent teacher conferences on Thursday afternoon from 1-8pm. Then we got Friday off; plus, we get Monday off due to President's Day! I've accomplished a lot so far this weekend! Friday, I worked on finalizing stuff for DeAnn's shower invitations. I also had to do some laundry -- we needed our blanket for our bed cleaned. Then, I packed up so we could head up to Maryville for the weekend. We hadn't been up since New Year's. It was a nice weekend!
Friday, we went to Applebee's to eat with George & Sara for Jeff's birthday! It was good food, and a good time. Then, we headed over to Jon & Sally's to hang out iwth the "group." The guys played poker while the girls just talked and watched TV! Towards the end of the night, I ended up watching Jeff, Jon, & Mike playing rummy...then I got to play...I kinda knew what I was doing!
Saturday, I took my car to get the oil changed, then Mom met us for lunch. After lunch we headed to Hallmark and Wal-Mart. We picked up some much needed stuff, then headed back to George & Sara's. I then worked on DeAnn's shower invitations for a few hours. About 6pm, Chris called and we decided we were going to head to St. Joe to listen to JP's band play! Jeff & I had never heard them play before, so it was a good time. We all went to 54th Street to eat first, then headed to hear the band play.
Today, we just hung out at George & Sara's....we watched the movie Zathura...it was a good movie. While watching it, I finished up DeAnn's shower invites! I finally got them all finished and in the envelopes. I just need to buy stamps and get them mailed out this next week! I took a nap, and then we headed back home about 2:30....poor Cooper, got sick on the ride home --- luckily we had a towel and his food dish to catch "it" I don't know if he'd eated something outside or if he was motion sick! Tonight, we've just relaxed a bunch and watched some interesting shows on Discovery TV (they have the most interesting shows about people with rare medical conditions, or interesting experiences!)

Pre-Valentine's Weekend
Well, it has been a very uneventful weekend before Valentine's Day! Friday night, Jeff & I headed to Michaels to buy stuff so I can make DeAnn's bridal shower invitations. We were maybe inside for 30 minutes, and when we came out it was SNOWING! This is something we haven't seen since November or December 2005! Well, it was big flakes and was blowing, but it didn't last long. We headed to Longhorn Steakhouse for supper, but they had an hour wait, so we headed home for a bit, and then called ahead to Longhorn and went back at about 7:30pm.
Then Saturday morning we got up early and Jeff headed into work at about 7am to help Walt with some stuff at work. They had a crew coming in to seal the floors, so Jeff & Walt had to move stuff around so the guys could get to the floors. While he was at work, I relaxed at home, and worked on DeAnn's shower invitations a bit. Well, Jeff came home for lunch, then went back into work in the afternoon! Well, we decided we needed to eat something for dinner so we made some Scalloped Salmon from Aunt Effie's Church cookbook page 233....it was pretty good....we also had cornbread with it! I will admit it didn't look very appetizing when we first mixed it up, but once it was cooked, it was pretty tasty!
Sunday morning we awoke at about 3am with Coop getting sick on our bed. He ended up throwing up a little stick, a walnut shell, and something else (probalby wood). Well, we took him down to his kennel and put the comforter in the dining room out of the way. Jeff ended up getting up at 7am this morning and headed into work at 7:30 to help Walt again! He came home about 11:30 and we decided we were going to Penney's to look for a new comforter -- we've been wanting one, and decided that Cooper didn't like the old one :) Well, we headed to Independence, ate at T.G.I. Fridays, then went to Penney's and the mall. We didn't find anything we wanted, so we headed home and now we're watching the ProBowl. Before long we're headed to the grocery store to buy groceries and decide what to have for supper tonight!
So, it was a pretty uneventful Pre-Valentine's weekend. I don't know what we're going to do this week for Jeff's birthday/Valentine's Day! I'm sure we'll figure something out. Also, I have a short week this week -- Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday from 1-8pm, and then no school on Friday and no school on Monday for President's Day! YEAH, a FOUR day weekend!

Time Flies
Time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe that it is almost February. We've had an unusually warm winter so far this year. We did get some sleet and snow on Friday; therefore, I got out of school early. It was nice to get to start my weekend a couple of hours early! We haven't accomplished much this weekend, except purchasing a new chandelier for our dining room -- nothing too extravagant, just something nice and new! Well, other than that, we've been doing stuff around the house and relaxing! Next weekend we're heading out to Indiana for my cousin's ordination! That'll be a fun weekend trip! :)

A Nice Weekend At Home!
Well, Jeff & I had a nice weekend at home. On Friday, we didn't do too much. I worked on organizing pictures a bit, and we ate, and just relaxed at home. Saturday, we got up and around, went to the store to buy fritos for supper, ate lunch, went and washed my car and then went and washed Jeff's Truck. It was nice having REALLY Nice Weather! Then, we came home and took down the Christmas tree and put away all our Christmas decorations. After that, we finished cleaning the living room. Then, I made Chili for supper. While it was cooking, we cleaned off the dining room table so we'd have somewhere to eat! :) Then, we ate and then we rented "War of the Worlds" I was convinced that I was going to have SCARY dreams. LUCKILY, I did not! Well, today, we got up, ran to Target and bought a ladle, picture albums, and a bag for our computer. Then I came home and finished organizing all our pictures, while Jeff worked on his workshop in the basement! Now, it's time to work on lesson plans for school!

Back to the Daily Grind
Well, today was our kids first day back after Winter Break! It wasn't as long of a day as I thought it was going to be! My morning started out with my 2nd & 3rd graders writing a story about what they did over break. Then I headed to 1st grade where we did a lot of counting, color, shape, letter review. Then it was back to math with a 2nd grader. Overall, it wasn't too eventful of a day.
Now, that I'm home, I'm putting all my pictures organized in picture albums. I just ordered 388 pictures off my digital camera -- yes, I'm like those commercials where the kid is suspended in air because the parents won't take the pictures off the camera. Yes, I'm similar, my pictures make it from my camera to my computer, but then get stuck there. I think I'm pretty well caught up now. Now, I just have to reorganize my picture albums.
Next comes the tastk of taking down Christmas stuff and putting it away! ARGH!! I think Christmas trees should be left up all year round! :) Just kidding! Well, off to picture organizing!

Happy 2006!
It is officially the new year! Jeff & I had a good New Year's. Our weekend started with us going to meet my mom so I could go to my Great Uncle Roy's funeral on Friday. Then Jeff came up and picked me up from my mom's. Then Saturday, we went to Iowa and had Christmas with my family. Actually, we just met at a Pizza place and had some good quality family time. Then we got back to the 'Ville and went to my brother-in-law's house for a New Year's Eve party. It was a lot of fun. We ended up going uptown at about 10:30 to ring in the new year. We had a lot of fun! I hope you all have a GREAT 2006!

Bachelorette Party Plates
For my bachelorette party in June, we went to a Pottery place and got to design our own dessert plates. Some of the girls haven't seen the plates yet, so I thought I'd post them here for everyone to see :)
