End of Summer

Summer is quickly coming to an end. School starts in the next few weeks. Last weekend we moved Sammy to his crib...he's doing okay; however he wakes up several times in the night. We're hoping this gets better by the time school starts.

Here are some pictures that I took while we were playing this afternoon. I wish I could have gotten video of this, but unfortunately the battery was dead. He was talking up a storm! He is laying on the floor with Dan the dog. Gramma & Grandad brought Dan to the hospital when Sammy was born. We decided to see if he would like a stuffed animal....he chews on him a bit. Now, you're probably wondering how he got the name Dan....his tag said Dan Dee (I think it's the manufacturing company?!) So, he's called Dan Dee Dog! :)

Tired of playing on the floor. He was smiley when I sat down to take the picture and then quickly turned pouty!

He got a little bit happier once he got his pacifier.


I finally picked him up and wrapped him in his blanket and he quickly fell asleep. I thought I'd try and see if he'd sleep on the floor if Dan was next to him. So far, so good! :)

14 Weeks Old

I can't believe how quickly 14 weeks have flown by. Sammy was weighed on Monday and he is now 14lbs 1 1/2oz.

3 Months and counting...

Wow! It's been 3 months since Sammy was born. It's amazing to look back at the pictures, videos, etc. to see how much he has grown. He rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time on June 18. He has done it a few more times after that; however, lately he gets very frustrated on his tummy.

Sammy loves to talk and is to the point that he almost laughs -- I'm guessing he'll be laughing in the next month or so. He also LOVES the "baby in the mirror" He loves to look in the mirror and smiles and talks. We bought him a mirror for the floor and he loves that -- hopefully that'll make tummy time more enjoyable for him.

Whenever he sneezes he usually says "Ah" after his sneeze -- so cute. I wish I could get it on video!

We're starting to get ready for the school year. I'm realizing how much I've enjoyed my time home with him and think the first few days of school may be hard on Mommy! :)

He is sleeping better at night. He usually goes to sleep (after watching the Royals with Daddy) around 9 or 10 and will sleep until 3amish. We get up and he eats and then he sleeps until 5 or 6am. I hope he keeps this routine up! :)

Sammy's New Toy

I wanted a mirror for the floor for Sammy and we found this one. You can hook it up to an MP3 player -- Sammy was rocking to Metallica this morning.

Paver Project

We had a little area between our driveway and sidewalk that tended to just grow weeds...we decided to put pavers down there.

Sammy and I went to watch Jeff work on the pavers. He fell asleep. We've been trying to teach him the signs for Mommy & Daddy -- I think he's trying to sign Mommy here- Jeff thinks he's trying to get his thumb in his mouth -- what do you think?

4th Fest

We went to the fireworks on the 4th. Sammy slept for a while then woke up and then got cranky. He finally fell asleep about 15 minutes before the fireworks started. Thankfully, none of the fireworks woke him up. Yes, we had sweatshirts on! :)
