Henry Doorly Zoo

On June 7 my friend Dani had a baby shower in CB, IA. We decided to take advantage of our trip and headed to the Omaha zoo. Dad & Carol happened to be camping up in the area, so they joined us at the zoo.

Bad Blogger....

Wow, it's been awhile since I've blogged. Life has been busy and hectic. I took a couple of graduate classes this summer, and those kept me busy. Then we went to Colorado for a week at the beginning of August, and once we got back I had to start getting my kindergarten class ready for the year. Yes, kindergarten. I am teaching kindergarten instead of first grade this year...the change has kept me busy as well as some new testing we are doing as a school and a new reading series. Oh, and I'm taking another class this semester too.

I am going to try to backtrack and update the blog with some pictures today. I hope you enjoy them!

Children's Museum

After lunch Uncle Bob and Aunt Jani headed back to their house. Gramcracker, Jeff, Noelle, and Sammy all headed to the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. We had a lot of fun there!

The first thing in the Children's Museum was Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. Here we are in the castle.

Then, we went up to the 2nd floor to the Nursery. This was an area full of toys for little ones. Sammy had a lot of fun here.

We then went up to the third floor -- the Water Play area. They had little raincoats for the kids. Silly mommy forgot to button it up, so we still had to change his clothes!

After we changed his clothes we went back to the second floor and he had tons of fun playing with blocks.

Just before we left we checked out the things on the first floor. They had a funhouse area with a big slide. Mommy and Daddy both tried the slide out!
